Nutritional Guidance

Before we get into the nitty gritty, a few words on what nutrition means to me.
When we say nutrition, it is automatically assumed we mean just food, your diet, what you consume daily to sustain you and give you energy. But to me nutrition is much more than that. Food is a big part, granted, but it’s also about how you eat and when, exercise, fresh air, sunlight, relaxation, emotions, relationships, thoughts, how you see yourself, how you talk to yourself, it’s about everything that nourishes you. To be optimally healthy we need to be looking at all these areas of life and addressing any issues that arise. You may find that just by concentrating on one thing everything else falls into place without really having to change that much. Or you may find that years of self-destructive thoughts and limiting beliefs mean you need to work on several areas as well as your diet to get to where you want to be. It’s an exciting journey, and once you realise that your body is not malfunctioning, you just need to make available what it needs and it will heal itself, naturally.
So how does it work?
When you book in with me I send you a questionnaire to fill in and send back before our appointment. This saves time and covers various aspects of your life including diet and medications, lifestyle, illness and wellness, your conception to present and ancestry, what you know of your parents and grandparents. The more information you can give the better we can build a picture of why you have reached this point and what we can do to improve it.
Nothing works in isolation and healing must come from addressing the whole. So whether you’re wanting to treat a specific condition, beat the blues or simply live a little more healthily I can help you look at all areas of your life and make small positive doable changes that over time become healthy habits.
